Leo and Olivers battle against Childhood Cancer
Look at the smiling face on these beautiful boys!
Imagine being told the devastating news your child has cancer?! As a parent myself I can't even begin to comprehend how you would process this information.
For Keri and Shaun Redfearn, they had to face this twice in just four months!
Leo Redfearn was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma on the 2nd October 2017, after battling a mystery illness for 8 months. After settling into routines of MRI's, operations and intense chemotherapy, on the 28th January 2018, Leo's little brother Oliver was diagnosed with Stage 3 Non Hodgkins Lymphoma!
When Oliver found out that Leo had cancer, he was unbelievably brave and shaved his head for charity to show support for his big brother. They are now giving strength to each other. Both boys are battling this huge fight together, which also has an impact on their little sister Isobel.
Actively Giving would love to help raise awareness for these boys, and also help to fund any further treatment they may need. There are lots of different treatments abroad being researched if UK treatments fail, especially for Leo as Neuroblastoma is a particularly tricky cancer to treat.
The boys have both got a long fight ahead of them, but they are both strong and positive, and have such amazing support from their friends and family, If you would like to follow their journey, check out their facebook page by clicking on their picture, and of course if you want to get involved, check out our challenges page and sign up!
